Headed straight to the dog house

A caller who just closed on a house in Marion reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office a trespassing at the property. A man allegedly surrounded the house campers, tried to put the electricity in his name and crawled through the dog door to access the residence. The caller gave the dog-door trespasser until 8 p.m. to remove his belongings and was advised by the sheriff’s office to call in the morning if he had not moved on.

Someone called to report a “very large” black and white mastiff cross who showed up at a working farm, acting “skittish” and bothering the horses and workers. An officer spoke with the dog’s owner on the phone and suggested that they go retrieve it.

A woman claimed that gas was being siphoned out of two of her vehicles, as her gas mileage had allegedly gone down from 27 mpg to 16 mpg. She had no suspects to offer and requested extra night-time patrol in the area.

A boxer or bulldog and a mixed-breed dog were reported for ongoing issues of running around the neighborhood and chasing children. The supposed owners of the dogs were given verbal warnings about keeping the dogs on their property and away from kids.

A man called to request that information be logged about another man who allegedly threatened him about a road rage incident that occurred a month and a half prior. The caller did not want to press charges.

A caller reported that on the previous night, her ex-boyfried assaulted her by allegedly pushing her, slapping her, stealing her keys and stealing her boots. He also reportedly made her hold his gun and “shoot” him. The caller had already requested a restraining order.

Someone called to report an unclaimed St. Bernard at their house. The caller attempted to contact the owner listed on the dog’s chip, but had no luck. The dog will be taken to the county animal shelter.

A caller in Kalispell reported that their 17-year-old son was acting erratically after taking some Xanax. He had a weapon and was threatening to “have a shootout with the cops.” He allegedly has a history of mental health issues and medical attention was requested.
