Dean L. Croskrey, 86

Dean L. Croskrey was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Kalispell.

Dean went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 12, 2018.

Dean grew up in Kalispell and graduated with a degree in industrial arts from Montana State University in 1953. A year before graduation, he met and married his wife of 62 years, Laberta May, who preceded him in death in 2015.

He began a 22-year career as the department head and teacher of the current Hydraulic and Pneumatic Automation Technology Program offered at SCC (Spokane Community College). After the students’ graduation, Dean often helped them find jobs in the fluid power industry. His family recalls many students calling and visiting him long after he retired to thank him for all he had done for them.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road, Spokane, WA 99206.
