Power hitter takes frustration out on pavement

A person called the Kalispell Police Department because he was concerned a man was going to strike a woman with a baseball bat. The man didn’t assault the woman, but he did take his frustration out on the pavement and the camper where he resided.

A motel guest got the cold shoulder when he ran out of money and attempted to hang out in the lobby. He was told he couldn’t stay at the motel and he said he didn’t want to go to a shelter.

An energetic 3-year-old locked herself in a room in the back of a building. She cried because she was scared, but a locksmith came to the rescue and the toddler was fine.

A maintenance worker reported a couple who had become extremely friendly at the back of the building where he worked. When he told them to move, they took their act to a small grove of trees and resumed. The man ran off when an officer arrived on the scene. The woman received a good talking-to.

A woman, who walking two small dogs, was accosted by a German shepherd when its owner walked past them. The shepherd didn’t attack, but the woman said it wasn’t on a leash. When she told the shepherd’s owner that it should be under better control, the owner said it reportedly didn’t have to be because it was a service animal.

A man working the graveyard shift called because a neighbor’s dog was outside keeping him awake with its incessant barking. When an officer spoke to the animal’s owner, he agreed to bring the dog inside.

A couple’s escalating argument was deflated when the woman’s mother showed up.

A wife’s beliefs that her husband had been using drugs was confirmed after he was arrested and she found several syringes with needles. An officer collected the items for destruction.

A man was on his porch when he saw a bright orange light in the sky before it dropped from view east of Bigfork. He thought it may have been a plane crash because it was the only thing that made sense.

A caller said she saw a man of average height with “British” red hair crawl into her dumpster.

Someone reported that an unknown person threw a rock at a car windshield and cracked it.

A person said a strange truck was parked in front of the house and the occupant was turning the lights on and off and played loud music. The truck pulled away but an officer determined that nothing illegal had occurred.
