Libby beat Whitefish for NWA volleyball title
LIBBY – All it took was three straight sets for the Libby Loggers to defeat the Whitefish Bulldogs 25-15, 25-11, 25-17 and claim the Northwest A volleyball tournament title on Saturday.
“I felt the girls all had a solid tournament,” Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston said. “They all stepped up and played well.”
Jayden Winslow had a big outing all over the court, with 10 kills, 10 digs, three blocks and three service aces.
Mehki Sykes had 17 kills, Alli Collins checked in with 35 of 38 set assists and McKenzie Proffitt had five blocks.
The top four finishers from Northwest A advance to Western A divisional play, which begins Thursday in Whitefish.

MISSOULA – Flathead Bravettes volleyball wrapped up its regular season by winning 25-22, 25-23, 25-14 over Missoula Hellgate.
“The girls played really well today,” Flathead coach Nicole Fairclough said.
“We did a great job offensively and with our block during the match. It’s a great win for us headed into playoffs.”
Sierra Wilhelm had a big game with 27 set assists and two service aces. Taylor Henley had eight blocks.
