Sign up by Nov. 1 to participate in Small Business Saturday
The Associated Chambers of Commerce group is recruiting small, local businesses to participate in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24.
Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year, Small Business Saturday promotes supporting the small, local businesses that help create jobs, boost the economy, and invigorate neighborhoods across the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana.
The last day for small businesses to sign up with local chambers of commerce is Thursday, Nov. 1. This year is the third consecutive year the Associated Chambers group has partnered together on the event.
In 2017 there were over 180 area small businesses that participated in Small Business Saturday from Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Eureka, Kalispell, Lakeside, Somers, and Whitefish, and many business owners said Small Business Saturday was their best business day last year, the Associated Chambers reported.
Participation in Small Business Saturday is free and many of the chambers will be providing free marketing materials such as Shop Small branded bags, posters, window decorations, and a variety of print and digital marketing efforts to qualifying businesses that sign up.
The Associated Chambers group consists of the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce, the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce, Flathead National Forest, Glacier National Park, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, Kalispell Convention and Visitor Bureau, the Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce, Montana West Economic Development, the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce, and the Whitefish Convention and Visitor Bureau.
