Flathead Valley Community College’s Art Department will host a reception featuring the multimedia works of Missoula artist Stephen Glueckert on Tuesday.

Glueckert has taught art at the University of Montana, the University of Papua New Guinea and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

He serves as curator emeritus at the Missoula Art Museum following more than 20 years working as the museum’s curator, and in 2016, he received the Missoula Arts Cultural Achievement Award.

His recent illustrated publications include “The Blind Men and the Elephant” and “The Bible Illustrated.”

The public is invited to a free reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery on the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building. Light refreshments will be served.

Glueckert’s work will remain on display through Oct. 17.
