Man suspicious of handgun fondler
A man with a set of binoculars watched another man in a Chevy pickup truck sitting in a neighboring driveway. The caller told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that he was messing around with a handgun while a woman sat next to him. The caller said no one seemed to be alarmed. They soon left the residence and police didn’t locate them.
A caller said two donkeys and a heifer were on his property stomping the grass and running around. He thought they might belong to the campground, which it turns out, they did. Someone from the campground came to retrieve the critters.
Someone reported a gold Jeep Liberty on fire because a person may not have put antifreeze in it. There were some flames, but it was quickly extinguished by a Columbia Falls firefighter.
A woman reported that she believed someone may have tried to get into her roommates’ van after she found a pair of bolt cutters and a bag of men’s clothes laying next to the vehicle. The caller said nothing was taken from the van, but she wanted it documented.
A man reported someone stole his chainsaw, gas and other items from his RV.
Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report that a man driving a brown flatbed truck was driving recklessly. The driver reportedly nearly hit another driver and almost drove off the road. An officer cited the man for not registering his vehicle when he found him hooking up to a fifth-wheel trailer at a RV park.
A caller said someone continued to send him text messages, even after a temporary restraining order was approved.
A bike lock wasn’t enough to prevent the theft of a green mountain bike.
A caller said he heard a loud sound and all the dogs in the neighborhood were going crazy. The person didn’t see anything, but when an officer checked, he saw a large truck was parked next to a generator that was running.
A man said his girlfriend had scratched him and threw things around. She had an outstanding warrant for unpaid parking tickets. The girl’s mother came to get her after she was cited.
A female employee called to report an assault by a male employee that occurred in June.
