Bike abandoned after a joyride

A person called the Whitefish Police Department about a silver mountain bike leaning up against the railing along the bike path. The caller believed someone took the bike for a joyride before leaving it.

Officers assisted a man who was found on the ground behind a bar.

A caller reported three vehicles were vandalized during the night. They belonged to people who had stayed at the location.

Someone reported that a unknown person had bent the driver’s side windshield wiper arm and removed the wiper while the vehicle was parked downtown.

A caller said a young black bear had walked near the new walking park. It did not act aggressively.

A man said two young males were blocking the foot bridge. He said he didn’t attempt to cross it, but he had seen them. An officer determined it was just some teenagers “horsing around.”

An officer told two juvenile males where they could and could not ride their skateboards after someone reported they were riding behind the post office.

A person reported to the Columbia Falls Police Deparment two dogs who were barking incessantly inside an apartment. An officer spoke to the dog’s owner.

A person called about someone parking in front of his house because they want to use the free Wi-Fi connection across the street. An officer told both parties to stay away from each other and told the caller that the person could park there because it’s a public street.

Someone reported a woman had been driving slowly in a black Suburban in the area and had stopped in the middle of the road. The caller thought the woman might have been drunk.

A person reported that a stop sign had been run over.
