Diana Giffin, 54
Diana Giffin died Sept. 7, 2018, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Diana was born on Feb. 6, 1964, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. She moved at a young age with her family to Wyoming where she lived in Jackson, Gillette and Casper. She
met her husband Jon and moved to Cody, Wyoming, where they were married in 1988 and would have been celebrating their 30th anniversary this October.
Ultimately Jon’s job took them to Oklahoma City and Houston, but retirement allowed them to move to the Flathead Valley, which Diana loved.
Diana was a very kind and caring person. Though very much an introvert she touched hundreds of people in several countries through blogs and online forums. The outpouring of comments by so many describing how Diana’s sketches and posts positively impacted them is truly uplifting.
Diana was a true naturalist. She possessed field guides for all things of nature, from large mammals, birds, wild flowers, small mammals, snakes and cloud types, to even moss and lichen identification. She was a joy to hike with as she could tell a story about all she saw. One of her favorite activities was to photograph the wild horse herd in the Pryor Mountains of Wyoming.
Diana is survived by her husband Jon, her mother Sherry, brothers Steven and Michael, and sister Jennifer.
Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
