Patricia Ann (Clark) Wendt, 84

| September 18, 2018 9:46 AM

Patricia Ann (Clark) Wendt was born on Jan. 29, 1934, to Joseph and Rose Clark in Kalispell. She attended grade school at Sparks School, now West Valley School, before attending St. Matthew School and graduating from Flathead County High School in 1952.

On May 2, 1959, Patty Ann married Norman Wendt at St. Matthew’s Church. The newlyweds made their home in Havre where they lived and farmed for 10 years. They were blessed with four children, Laurie, Mark, Alan and Ann. In 1969, Pat and Norm moved back to Whitefish to farm the KM Ranch. They lived there until Pat’s death on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018.

Pat lived a wonderful life and enjoyed being a part of the community. She was a 4-H leader for 20 years and served on the board of directors for several groups, including Havre’s local hospital (now Northern Montana Hospital), North Valley Hospital and the Flathead County Library.

Many will remember Pat from her many years at Sykes restaurant. She always had a welcoming smile and willingness to help. She was greatly missed when she retired to spend time with Norm. Pat and Norm were regulars at all Whitefish Bulldog sporting events and were always ready to cheer on the Green and Gold.

She is survived by her husband, Norm, at the family home; her children, Laurie Wendt, Mark (Abby) Wendt, Alan (Nancy) Wendt, and Ann Wendt; and grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Danyal, Anna, Lindsay, Jillianne, Jesse and Tanner. Pat is also survived by her sister, Rose Nielson; brother, Chuck Clark; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by both parents, her sister Cathi Clark, and brother Francis Clark.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Kalispell VFW.
