Plumber sails away with boiler cash

Someone reported to the Kalispell Police Department that a plumber was given $2,300 for two boilers, but instead he took the money and went to the Caribbean.

A caller reported her Jeep was out of gas and was blocking traffic in the turning lane. She said she didn’t have money for gas and was homeless. She wanted a tow truck to take her to a parking lot until she got enough money to get gas in the morning. She was told about help she could get, but she refused and said she had been living homeless since 2016.

A disgruntled man refused to leave a store after he tried to return a product he bought four years ago at a different location. The man didn’t accept anything that employees were trying to tell him.

A man reported a group of squatters in a parking lot and wanted help tearing down their camp. When an officer arrived, the camp was located under a semi trailer, but no one was there. The camp was torn down.

When a dispatcher answered a call, she could hear a man sighing. When she called back, she got his voicemail. When an officer checked the area the call came from, everything was reported to be OK.

A man believed he was being stalked for the last several days by someone driving a silver four-door car.

A person reported seeing debris and a dog kennel on the road near the wastewater treatment plant. There was also a small dog less than 10 pounds running around it.

A person from a local media company called to report a bat had been hanging around on the side of the building. The caller wanted to speak to someone with county animal control. The caller was advised to not try to catch the critter.

A man stopped at the Columbia Falls Police Department to thank officers for not having his truck towed, even after it had been ticketed.

A nurse accidentally called 911.

A man didn’t get the warmest of welcomes at his cousin’s residence. His cousin was away on a hunting trip and his wife didn’t want the man there because he is a felon and had been drinking. The man said he would stay in a camper on the property and then find a motel the next day.

A woman called to report someone got into the toolbox in her truck while it was parked in her driveway. She checked and nothing was missing.
