Football Bigfork blows by T-Falls

BIGFORK — Randy Stultz scored three touchdowns, Anders Epperly passed for four and ran for another as top-ranked Bigfork celebrated homecoming with a 43-0 victory over winless Thompson Falls in Class B Western Division football play Friday night.

Stultz ran 19 yards for a score and was on the receiving end of two Epperly TD strikes, 11 and 25 yards.

Epperly also hooked up with Brady Thorness, 15 yards, and Colton Reichenbach, 6 yards, for TD passes.

Epperly’s scoring run covered 10 yards.

Bigfork took a 2-0 lead on a safety by Trey Fisher.

Epperly was 9 of 9 passing for 137 yards.

Stultz had 90 yards rushing on five attempts. Luke Taylor had five carries for 31 yards.

Bigfork’s Luke Schmit had three receptions for 56 yards.

Bigfork (5-0 overall, 4-0 league) is off until an Oct. 5 contest at Townsend.

Columbia Falls 62, Libby 15

COLUMBIA FALLS — Fourth-ranked Columbia Falls rolled over Libby in Northwest A Conference action.

Columbia Falls (3-1, 1-0) led 48-7 at the half.

Game stats were not available.

Columbia Falls hosts Browning next Friday while Libby (1-4, 0-1) entertains Polson.

Ronan 27, Polson 21, 3 OT

POLSON — Matt Victor hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Eric Dolence in the third overtime to lift Ronan over Polson in a Northwest A Conference contest.

Neither team scored in the second overtime.

In the first overtime, Ronan scored first on a Dolence 2-yard run and a Dolence run for the conversion.

Polson answered on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Boston Goode to Trevor Schultz. Those two also hooked up for the two-point conversion.

Both teams were winless on the season. It was the conference opener for both teams.

“Obviously a well matched game,” Polson coach Pat Danley said.

“Both teams had chances to win.”

Polson plays at Libby next Friday while Ronan hosts Whitefish for homecoming.

Whitefish 37, Browning 6

WHITEFISH — Mark Anderson started and completed the scoring with touchdown runs of 1 and 8 yards as Whitefish cruised by Browning for a Class A Northwest Conference victory.

Jack Schwaiger, Jack Eisenbarth, 11 carries for 134 yards, and Josh Dudley also had touchdown runs for Whitefish (3-2, 1-0).

Anderson was 9 of 17 passing for 91 yards.

Carver Gilman was good on five of six PAT kicks and he also booted a 46-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Whitefish plays at Ronan next Friday.

MISSOULA — Eighth-ranked Missoula Loyola (4-1, 2-0) scored five touchdowns in the opening quarter en route to the romp over No. 5 Eureka (3-2, 1-2) in Class B Western Division play.

Ryan Tirrell had touchdown runs of 50, 6, 3, 2 and 20 yards.

Loyola led 49-6 at the half.

Hank Dunn had two touchdown passes for Eureka — 20 yards to Jake Kindel and 12 yards to Austin Callender.

Eureka plays at Anaconda next Friday.
