The Crosstown Cup trophy says at Glacier High School for another year.

The Wolfpack, who took a commanding 12-4 lead Thursday after match-play action at Village Greens Golf Course, emerged with an 11-5 score in two-person, best-ball action on Friday at Buffalo Hill Golf Club for a 23-9 victory for the 36-hole event.

Glacier has now won all four Crosstown Cups.

“(Players) enjoy playing a different format than they are use to,” Flathead coach Kyle Dunfee said of the Cup.

“They are going head to head in a crosstown setting. They like the vibe of the tournament, it’s back and fourth in a playful way. They are laughing, but competing. It’s a great two days, fun to watch.”

Flathead’s top two girls — Marcella Mercer and Jillian Wynne — and boys — Ezra Epperly and Joston Cripe — were victorious on Friday.

Up next for both schools is the AA state meet, which starts next Thursday in Butte.

“We were we strong through the middle and end,” Glacier coach Jim Schaible said. “We’re deeper with talent than they are. Our No. 3-4 boys shot some of the best rounds of the tournament.”

Glacier’s Ethan Purdy carded a 37 at Village Greens, which was 2-over. Purdy and Sam Manaker combined for a 1 over 34 on the Cameron Nine at Buffalo Hill.
