Woman's shopping spree raises suspicions
A store employee reported some unusual activity after seeing a shopper place more than $1,000 worth of property in her cart during a four-hour shopping trip.
Two people called the Kalispell Police Department about a possible animal cruelty case. Both heard a dog squealing inside a pickup truck. When an officer checked, it turned out to be a German shepherd puppy that was inside a crate with a dog bed.
A woman asked police to retrieve a purse with credit cards inside after she found it in her yard.

A woman learned the home she recently purchased was falsely being advertised online as a rental when people started stopping by and asking to rent it, or claiming they had paid money to rent it.
A couple of teens reportedly broke into a shed and were smoking weed in an alley on the west side.
A neighbor reported “a large gathering of kids” in a grocery store parking lot when allegedly 15 vehicles filled with the youths started getting rowdy, honking their horns and were about to start drag racing “like they usually do.”
A man’s father-in-law reportedly “chest bummed” and pushed him, threatening to beat him up.
Three purses were found in trees by a bus stop.
A pregnant pit bull was found in a parking lot allegedly growling at people. The dog, which didn’t have a collar, was contained. Officers located and advised the dog’s owner to contact two shelters if he wanted to put it up for adoption.
A person called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a woman curled up in a ball behind a concrete slab near the park and ride. A deputy determined the woman was fine.
A caller observed a couple arguing in a field after their vehicle ran off the road. The caller said the people appeared to have been drinking heavily and the woman was holding a baby. A deputy checked the scene and reported that the couple had left the area.
Someone reported a shaggy haired man and a woman wearing a headband were smoking methamphetamine in a white pickup before entering the bar. A deputy was unable to locate the couple.
A caller to the Columbia Falls Police Department found blood spots where an intruder broke glass while illegally entering the building.
