Whitefish rips Ronan for 4th straight football win

RONAN — Jack Isenbarth rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns for Whitefish in a 43-7 Northwest A Conference football romp on Friday night over Ronan.

Isenbarth had scoring runs of 3, 7 and 63 yards.

He had 15 carries.

Whitefish (4-2 overall, 2-0 league) led 14-0 at the half.

“A great second half,” Whitefish coach Chad Ross said.

“Coming in, we are just trying to get better every week.”

Whitefish has won four straight.

This marked the third homecoming game for the Bulldogs, who are now 3-0 in those contests. Whitefish has a homecoming game at Polson on Friday.

Ronan (1-4, 1-1) has a road game on Friday at Columbia Falls.

Whitefish had 402 yards rushing.

Bulldog quarterback Mark Anderson was 9 of 17 passing for 156 yards.

BROWNING — Third-ranked Columbia Falls had no trouble in blowing by Browning in a Northwest A Conference contest.

The victory was the fourth straight for the Wildcats (4-1, 2-0).

Columbia Falls hosts Ronan on Friday for Senior Night while Browning (1-5, 0-2) travels to Libby.

Libby 62, Polson 20

LIBBY — Libby picked up its first Northwest A Conference victory by blasting winless Polson.

Libby (2-4, 1-1) hosts Browning on Friday while Polson (0-6, 0-2) entertains Whitefish for homecoming.

Eureka 48, Anaconda 0

ANACONDA — Hank Dunn ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more as ninth-ranked Eureka snapped a two-game losing streak with decisive Western B Division victory over Anaconda (0-6, 0-4).

Dunn had scoring runs of 25 and 7 yards.

His TD passes went to Cory Chaney, 11 yards, and Terell Helgert, 24 yards.

Helgert also had a 63-yard scamper for a score.

Braiden Guckenburg completed the scoring with a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Eureka (4-2, 2-2) led 35-0 at the half.

Eureka celebrates its homecoming on Friday versus Florence.
