Kalispell council poised to set growth-policy amendment hearings
The Kalispell City Council will ponder tonight whether to schedule public hearings to solicit input for two separate proposed growth-policy amendments.
The agenda for the April Fool’s Day council meeting includes resolutions that could, if approved, set public hearings on April 15 for the two proposals.
One proposal would amend a city growth policy map to change the designation of 5.79 acres adjacent to 1151 N. Meridian Rd. from urban residential to urban mixed use.
The other would expand the annexation boundary north by about 240 acres at the northwest and northeast corners of the intersection of Church Drive and U.S. 93 north and designate future land uses.
As proposed, the future land use designations would be neighborhood commercial, high density residential, urban mixed use and suburban residential.
Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at Kalispell City Hall, 201 First Ave. E.
