Deactivated phone works, but don't wake grandma

A Columbia Falls child was playing with a deactivated cellphone and accidentally dialed 911. The child told dispatchers his grandma was sleeping and he’s not supposed to wake her up. Grandpa, however, was available and told dispatchers there was no emergency, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

Dogs have been seen running around the south portion of the landfill, according to someone on U.S. 93.

A Trails End Drive resident in Kalispell was suspicious a man was selling drugs because he purportedly had “all kinds of traffic coming and going all hours of the day,” and said in one two-hour span counted 13 vehicles. The man allegedly walked out and would hand people something over and over.

Someone on Hilltop Road in Columbia Falls reported a door had been “ripped off” of a vacant building, possibly a shed.

A litterbug on Montana 35 was seen pulling into a parking lot and throwing a soda can under their van before taking off. The person calling in the report said they picked up the can and it appeared to have reportedly been used to smoke marijuana.

A dog went on a rampage when a woman on Amatasia Lane in Kalispell said a canine got into her chicken coop and killed 16 chickens, which she took pictures of as evidence. Since then she reportedly hadn’t seen the dog or knew who it belonged to.

Employees on U.S. 2 in Kalispell were told they could deny service to a man who made them feel uncomfortable because he allegedly “inappropriately” touched an 18- to 22-year-old, called her “baby” and claimed she’s his daughter.

Someone took issue with the care of rabbits and chickens and conditions of cages on Ferndale Drive in Bigfork. It might not matter, however, when someone reportedly said the chickens would have a new home in June and there were plans to butcher the rabbits before July.

A Mission Drive resident in Kalispell told deputies a kid speeds through the neighborhood five days a week around a specific time and requested extra patrol.

Someone on Walsh Road requested a welfare check for a man purportedly standing in the middle of the road and not moving for traffic.

Meanwhile on Montana 35 in Kalispell, an intoxicated pedestrian was being a traffic hazard when he was seen stumbling in and out of traffic.

Kalispell Police Department responded to a fight between five to six men behind a motel.

A 66-year-old called police and wanted to speak to an officer because “she thinks they are going to kick her out if Medicare doesn’t kick in,” but was unsure of what room she was in.

A man said his neighbor chased him down after he allegedly honked at him so he wouldn’t back into him. The neighbor reportedly proceeded to follow him to a stop sign and got out and walked toward his vehicle, so he took off.

A gray 2000 Chrysler Intrepid was reported stolen.
