Lavora 'Tommy' Mae Baker Moffett, 81

Lavora Tommy Mae Moffett, 81, passed away Jan. 19, 2019, due to age-related causes at her home in Sequim, Washington.

Tommy was born in Steuben, Wisconsin, at home to Robert and Laura Curtis, on Nov. 29, 1937.

Tommy arrived in Sequim in the mid-‘60s, relocated to Kalispell for 30 years, and spent her remaining years retired back in Sequim.

She loved playing piano, gardening and making caramels, and was heavily involved in her church and women’s group. She wrote Christian praise music and also led a weekly ministry at a Kalispell nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Laverta.

Tommy is survived by her husband, Don Moffett; her siblings, Rita (Roger), Russ, Linda (Chuck), and Larry (Pam); her children, Sherry, Scott (Debbie), Sheila (Neil), Rob (Chome), April (Dan), Claire, Laurie (Randy) and Abigail (Troy); 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Tommy was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Her celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on July 6 at Sequim Community Church.
