The Whitefish Community School is holding a fundraising event from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Cypress Yard in Whitefish called “Community Rocks Concert.” It will include live music, family-friendly activities, food and a silent auction.

Tickets are $7 in advance, and $10 at the door. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online on Eventbrite. For more details check out Facebook.

The current line-up includes Hilary Shaw, Brett Allen, Christiane Prew and Don Caverly. The event will also feature mobile food vendors including Señor Montana Tacos y Mas, Fork In The Road Eats, Annie’s Shave Ice, along with Cypress Yard.

“We recently purchased the building that houses our wonderful school, said Whitefish Community School director Johnna Knoerr. “All of the funds raised from this event will be used to ensure that the school continues to thrive, providing quality early childhood education for Whitefish families for generations to come. As a nonprofit, this annual fundraiser also helps us to maintain affordable tuition rates and to cover our operating expenses.”

Whitefish Community School was established in 2004 as a 501c3 nonprofit preschool to meet the early educational needs of the Whitefish community. The school provides a safe, creative, nurturing environment in which children explore and learn together while developing a positive attitude toward life and learning.
