Jury's still out on who owns Tinkerbell

The rightful owner of a chihuahua named Tinkerbell was up for dispute when a woman said her daughter had her dog and “she wants it back,” she told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The woman claimed to have papers from a veterinarian proving the dog is hers.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from woman who was outside, watching her sister throw her things out the window of a trailer they were being evicted from on U.S. 2 in Kalispell. The pair were separated.

A vehicle took off on U.S. 2 in Kalispell after allegedly dumping items in two different places in a parking lot. The person calling in the report initially thought the items were drug paraphernalia, but it appeared to be stereo equipment.

Someone on Sawtooth Trail in Columbia Falls reportedly heard kids yelling, a motor revving and saw flashlights and thought since the neighborhood was under development they could have been messing with heavy equipment.

A house sitter on Plantation Drive in Kalispell heard noises that sounded like someone was rummaging or rifling through things. She reportedly went to sleep and woke up to find the bedroom door she had shut, open, and a light that had been turned off, was on.

A burglary was reported on U.S. 93 in Kalispell when a business owner found a broken window where the suspect(s) gained entry and a customer reportedly found stolen “MC’s” down the road.

Someone calling from Hungry Horse Boulevard said a woman was fighting with a man all day and they heard glass breaking.

A man on Kelsey Road in Marion had questions about a dock that allegedly had been abandoned on his shore since May. He told deputies he called the dock company and “wanted to make a deal with them” about keeping it. He said he didn’t want the company to come on his property without him there, but a man did come and took the dock. He supposedly believed that after being abandoned for that long the dock belonged to him and the man from the company “stole it.”
