Who let the dog out? Who knows

A dog owner claimed a neighbor’s boxer ran out of the yard a month ago and bit his dog but didn’t break the skin, according to the Whitefish Police Department. The boxer owners claimed the dog didn’t leave the yard or bite the other dog. Since there was a lack of conclusive evidence about whether the dog actually left the yard and bit the other canine, the case was dismissed.

A man called the police because his neighbor accused him of “touching her blocks.” He claimed not to know what she was talking about, and other neighbors said that particular neighbor regularly “abuses the 911 system.”

Someone felt the need to report an argument between a married couple to the police.

Multiple people reported a man calling from a corporate automobile office about a recall was really a scam artist.

A woman called from Texas about a truck in Montana that might have been stolen.

Someone complained about the noise being generated by a large wedding party. The caller reported it “sounded like a lot of drinking going on.” The party was advised about the city’s noise ordinance.

A separate group of people in a hot tub was also reported for making a lot of noise, but the police apparently heard nothing from the revelers.

Someone wanted a “crack-head with red hair” to be moved along by the Columbia Falls Police Department.

A shopper reported his debit card was stolen and used for hundreds of dollars of purchases at retail stores, but when he realized the thief was his roommate he decided not to press charges.

A man was seen walking to work “carrying [a] baseball bat.”

There was a complaint about a male driver riding around Columbia Falls at night playing loud music, but the driver and the complainer decided to discuss the issue between themselves.

The Kalispell Police Department, Kalispell Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Rescue and Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residential care facility on Eighth Street West in Kalispell. The fire was reported late Friday morning, but apparently the building was empty.
