Linforth Murray Sultzer, 86

Linforth Murray Sultzer, 86, passed away peacefully at Kalispell Regional Medical Center Sunday morning, Aug. 25, 2019.

She was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Butte to Thomas Jefferson Murray and Claire Linforth Murray. Lin was proud of her Butte history and heritage, with Butte roots and grit, Lin traveled the world with her husband Harry Dukehart Sultzer Jr. Lt. Col. Ret. (USAF) and four children. Always an explorer and veracious learner and teacher, Lin lived and learned and played in: Arizona, Butte, Japan, Virginia, D.C., Kansas, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Cygnet Lake, Butte and California, returning to her Montana roots for good in 1989.

Lin landed in Bigfork with Harry where she enjoyed a wealth of friends and players through golf, swimming, bridge, P.E.O, symphony, theater, cultural arts, book clubs and spent many years as Senior Warden of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

Linforth is survived by her three children, Harry Dukehart Sultzer III of Helena, Gretchen Sultzer (Neil Beddow) of Bozeman, and Karl Linforth Sultzer (Cindy) of Spokane; grandchildren; Dylan Cade Beddow (Lacy) of North Dakota, Keeva Claire Beddow of Bozeman, Thadeus Linforth Sultzer and Sarah Lee Caudell of Spokane; and great-grandchildren; Lily Ione Beddow and Westley Cooper Beddow of Lincoln, North Dakota.

Linforth was predeceased by her husband, Harry Dukehart Sultzer Jr. Ret. Lt. Col., in 2009; and her son, Thomas Murray Sultzer in 2012. May she rest in peace with them all. Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, Ferndale. Service will be conducted by the Rev. Louise Baker.
