Rumble in the Bay car show, Ferndale fly-in staged this weekend
Classic car fans can head to Bigfork this weekend for the 12th annual Rumble in the Bay car show.
The fun starts today (Saturday) at the Bigfork VFW center, 8098 Montana 35. There will be live music, a poker run around the lake at 10 a.m. and a Rumble for the Vets event. Pre-registration starts at 4 p.m. today.
The show features all makes and models, including motorcycles and trucks. This year’s featured car is the Ford Mustang.
On Sunday, the car show moves to downtown Bigfork, with hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. in front of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse
Spend the day in Bigfork. Shops and restaurants will be open. There will be burgers and ice cream, games and raffles, street vendors and goodie bags.

A tandem event is an open-house fly-in at the Ferndale Airport that offers free airplane rides for kids ages 8 to 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, offered through the EAA Young Eagles Program.
A pancake breakfast with eggs, ham, coffee and juice for $6 starts at 8 a.m. at the airport, 325 North Ferndale Drive.
A free shuttle service is provided from Sliters Park in downtown Bigfork to the parking area on the west side of the Ferndale air field. The public is invited to join pilots for an exciting day of aviation activities. View a variety of aircraft, including home-built, vintage, war birds, float planes and other aircraft. The ALERT helicopter also will make an appearance. More than 75 aircraft and pilots are expected.
