Deborah 'Deby' Ann McCartney, 63
Deborah “Deby” Ann McCartney, 63, was born on Jan. 17, 1956, in Kalispell.
On Feb. 14, 2019, our sweet Deby went home to be with our Lord. How Deby left us is not as meaningful as how she loved us. She loved her husband Sam for 45 years and in her eyes you saw that love. Her children were her heart and when they gave her grandchildren, that heart grew even bigger and filled her days with happiness and pride. Everything Deby did was for her family. She loved us all and never let us leave her house without knowing how much.
Everyone who met Deby knew that they had a listening ear and a loving heart. She was not the kind of person who cared about the material things in this world. She was content knowing her family was safe and loved, and if you made her mad, then she held nothing back. But even mad at you, that love never diminished.
Though our hearts are breaking, and we long to have her with us, we know Deby is with Jesus and she is celebrating with those that have gone before. She is no longer suffering; her body is new and she feels only love and peace to be home. We miss you, but we will see you again in the arms of our Savior.
Deby is survived by her husband Sam, daughters Brandi (Danny) Thompson, and Cori (Steve Smith) McCartney-Smith; son Sam (Alyssa) McCartney; father Roger (Sue) Bowman; and mother Marlene (Roger) Rusch; grandchildren, Malarie, Billy and Savanna Thompson; Cody, Marissa, Patricia Smith; and Hunter, Haven, Kalyn, Kyler and Adam McCartney; sisters, Vonnie Hammack, Gwen Bowman and Valerie Bowman; and great-granddaughter Addison Olson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Easthaven Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
