Salty magazines dropped off at C-Falls City Hall

Officers at the Columbia Falls Police Department were the recipients of a rather interesting gift — a black coat and a stack of Playboy magazines that were turned in at Columbia Falls City Hall. One officer said he would place the items in safekeeping, closing the case.

A school principal wanted help to speak to a student about threats that were made to another pupil. The administrator said the issue had been ongoing and the principal had spoken with the parents of the menacing student.

Someone reported a $20 counterfeit bill, but upon further review, it turned out to just be old.

A caller reported a theft of money.

An officer talked to two people about how they parked their vehicles. They agreed to settle the matter.

A woman hit the side button on her iPhone too many times by accident and a 911 dispatcher was contacted.

A fender-bender between a white sport utility vehicle and a red Honda Accord resulted in no injuries or any measurable damage.

A woman called because her ex had made allegations that she was using meth. She said she had joint custody of the children and was concerned about allowing the kids to go with the father. She was told to keep the kids because the father’s issues were significant.

An alarm went off at a tire store, but it turned out to be a false one and all the doors were secure.

A person wanted to know if a suspect in the theft of a computer had been arrested by the Kalispell Police Department. The caller has made contact with pawn shops and there is video of a suspicious man unloading merchandise.

A woman came to the department to report that someone had slandered her.

A woman said someone posted a video of her on a social media site and she wanted it removed. She didn’t know who posted the video, but it occurred in Evergreen on New Year’s Eve. She was told to notify the site about the unauthorized video.

Someone who was being released from the hospital said he didn’t have any money for a taxi and that it was too cold outside to walk home.
