Public hearing for Kalispell tax district slated
Kalispell City Council holds its first meeting of 2019 on Monday.
A public hearing will focus on the council’s intent to create a Downtown Urban Renewal Tax Increment Financing District.
Council will also consider a request from Bruce Wiederspiel to annex and zone one acre of land as residential and to combine it with the Cottage Gardens property. Cottage Gardens is located on the north side of Three Mile Drive, east of Mountain Vista Subdivision.
A new preliminary plat for 37 family residential lots on the Cottage Gardens property is also being requested. The project received preliminary plat approval about 10 years ago but did not move forward.
Council will also have a first reading of a request from Stillwater Corporation to rezone 9.4 acres of land in the existing Kalispell North Town Center planned-unit development from its current residential designation to general business.
The mayor will consider appointing two representatives for the Kalispell Business Improvement District and one for the Tourism Business Improvement District.
Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 201 First Ave. E.
