Subdivision off Three Mile Drive moves forward

Kalispell City Council gave preliminary plat approval for Cottage Gardens subdivision at its Jan. 7 meeting.

The subdivision off Three Mile Drive is planned for 37 residential lots on 11.8 acres and a common area. An annexation of one acre to be incorporated into the subdivision was also approved.

Cottage Gardens had been approved in 2008 but the plat approval had expired.

Council also passed a first reading of an amendment to the North Town Center zoning. Stillwater Corp. is requesting that 9.4 acres of land in an existing planned-unit development be rezoned from residential to general business.

Mayor Mark Johnson appointed Curtis Bartel and Ryan Berweger to the Kalispell Business Improvement District and Lucy Weeder to the Kalispell Tourism Business Improvement District.
