Bigfork's Epperly sets state assists record
BIGFORK — It was a night of milestones, state records and career highs on Friday at Bigfork High School.
As the buzzer sounded on Bigfork’s 72-49 boys basketball victory over Mission, coach Sam Tudor earned his 100th career win.
Afterwards, Tudor was met by a deluge of Silly String as he entered the locker room. His wife had put together a postgame celebration.
Senior Anders Epperly shattered the all-class state assists record set by Randy Robinson in 1992, previously 691. Epperly’s 12 assists put him at 699. He scored 7 points.
“It’s pretty special that we did it at home,” Tudor said of he and Epperly’s respective accomplishments. “I can’t say enough about Anders as a player.”
Colton Reichenbach scored a career-high 26 points. Logan Gillard added 22.
“We have a talented group of kids,” Tudor said.
“We shared the ball well tonight.”
