Big Mountain 911 call a happy false alarm

A skier’s twists and turns on Big Mountain resulted in a pocket dial to 911. She called back to confirm she was OK.

Someone reported seeing two people break a window at the art studio on Central Avenue in Whitefish. He and another man followed the suspects. One of them, a man, got into a taxi and left, according to the Whitefish Police Department.

A Columbia Falls resident reported the theft of a package from his mail box. It was supposed to arrive about 10 days ago. The company that sent him the package told him it had been delivered and he should call the police to make a report, according to the Columbia Falls Police Department.

Two juveniles received a brief tutorial on how to safely cross 11th Street.

The father of a teen reported that when he got home, the house reeked of marijuana smoke. The teen and a friend ran from the residence, but officers didn’t locate them.

A teenage girl wanted to know if police could unblock a blocked number that belonged to a person who has said nasty things to her in the past. She was told to call her cellphone provider to find the number. She said if she got the number, she’d call back to let officers know who is calling.

A caller said she heard voices of people on her front porch and it sounded like they wanted to break into the residence on Woodland Road. An officer searched the area, found footprints in the area, but no tire tracks.

An 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he took an Adderall that wasn’t prescribed to him while he was with friends in a gray Nissan Frontier on Four Mile Drive, according to the Kalispell Police Department. He said he was having trouble breathing and believed he had an allergic reaction. Officials at the school notified the parents and they later spoke to an officer about the incident.
