Zoning changes, TIF district on Kalispell agenda
Kalispell City Council will hold a first reading for the planned tax increment finance district at its meeting on Tuesday.
The TIF district will fund rehabilitation and public infrastructure improvements downtown in accordance with the recently adopted Downtown Urban Renewal Plan.
Council will conduct a second reading for a request to annex and zone 1 acre of land as residential and combine it with Cottage Gardens, a planned 37-lot residential subdivision on the north side of Three Mile Drive.
A request from Stillwater Corp. to rezone 9.4 acres of land in the existing Kalispell North Town Center to general business will also have a second reading. The site is currently zoned residential.
Other items on the agenda include a request from Jerman Holdings, LLC, for final-plat approval of a two-lot commercial subdivision at 60 Village Loop Drive, and an extension of the sludge management agreement with Glacier Gold Composting.
The council normally meets on Mondays, but is shifting to Tuesday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 201 First Ave. E.
