Polson pins dual loss on Glacier
POLSON — Class A Polson doubled the score on Class AA Glacier, winning the wrestling dual 48-24 on Tuesday evening.
Polson tallied 36 points on six pins — Rene Pierre (113), Kedrick Baker (120), Jarod Farrier (132), Bridger Wenzel (152), Hunter Fritsch (170) and Jasper Drake (285).
Polson also won by forfeit at 145 and 182.
Glacier’s points were on pins by Royce Conklin (138), Thomas Crofts (160) and Colby Martin (205) and decisions by Thomas Putnam (103) and Lance Fretwell (126).
“Tonight was a fun dual,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said.
“Our focus was coming out strong and working for that first takedown and I feel like we were able to do that. Even with having two forfeits due to sick wrestlers and getting pinned in two weights where we were up, I felt good. We were able to stick with one of the best teams in Class A.”
Glacier continues with dual action on Thursday at home versus Class A Columbia Falls.
Polson is back on the mats Thursday when it plays host to Ronan, then head to the Whitefish Memorial Invitational on Friday.
