Kalispell man charged with threatening woman
A Kalispell man was recently charged after he allegedly threatened the mother of his child with a gun.
Cammeron Scott Fedor is charged with one felony count of intimidation. He is facing a maximum term of 10 years in the Montana State Prison.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim came to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a threat she said Fedor made to her on the evening of Dec. 12, 2018. She said they took a car ride to discuss their co-parenting arrangement.
She said Fedor drove to a wooded location west of Kalispell, allegedly got out of the vehicle and pulled out a gun. He then said he would allow her more time with the child they have together, but that she needed to earn his trust.
The victim was concerned for her safety and she made an audio recording of the conversation.
According to the complaint, Fedor said if anything happened to their child, “you will meet the long end of this barrel and I won’t care.”
He then fired the gun five times, pointed to a tree and said he’d bury her there, according to the complaint.
On Dec. 27, 2018, Fedor was interviewed by an officer with the Sheriff’s Office. Fedor said he and the victim had a child together, and she needed to earn his trust and was limiting her time with their child. He also said he owned a .30-30 lever action rifle, according to the complaint.
Additionally, the investigating officer determined the man’s voice on the recording matched Fedor’s and the sound on the audio between the shots was consistent with the sound of a lever-action rifle.
Officers also got a search warrant for the .30-30 rifle and one was found at Fedor’s residence.
Fedor is free after posting a $40,000 bond through a private company. He must follow several conditions, including wearing a GPS monitoring device at his own expense. He can’t consume any alcohol or enter any bars, taverns or casinos. Fedor is also prohibited from possessing any guns.
Fedor is due back in court at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 for his formal arraignment.
