C. Diane Thomas, 79

Camilla Diane Thomas passed away July 1, 2019, in Whitefish, with her husband Anthony by her side.

Diane was born March 24, 1940 in Henning, Minn. She was the youngest of eight children born to Helmer Tollefson and Lena Moinicken Tollefson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her seven siblings. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Anthony B. Thomas.

Diane’s adventures began when she met Anthony on New Year’s Eve in 1976. A few months later on July 5, 1977 they began married life together. They enjoyed traveling together and taking many vacation cruises all over the world. Diane enjoyed painting and quilting. She was an expert quilter and won many ribbons at quilting shows. She truly enjoyed making quilted items for her friends and acquaintances. She would find out your favorite colors and make a custom item for your house. She quilted bedspreads, jackets, purses, placemats and wall art. She was a member of several quilting guilds in the Flathead Valley.
