Glacier falls to Lethbridge in championship game

WHITEFISH — Nothing came easily for the Glacier Twins on Sunday.

The Lethbridge Elks scored seven runs in the third inning enroute to an 11-2 victory over the Twins during the championship game Sunday of the 35 annual Sapa Johnsrud Memorial tournament.

Offensively, the Twins had six hits— Austyn Andrachick went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI to lead the team. Coby Clark-Dickinson had a double and Jack Schwaiger contributed a triple. But Lethbridge had 13 hits and committed zero errors.

Nathan Hader took the loss for Glacier. He allowed seven hits and nine runs over two and 2/3 innings.

WHITEFISH — The Kalispell Lakers racked up eight hits en route to a 10-0 victory Sunday over the Butte Miners in the third-fourth place game at the 35th annual Sapa Johnsrud Tournament at Memorial Field.

Randy Stultz and Jack Corriveau had two hits each for the Lakers and Payton Davison had a double and two RBI.

The teams played to a scoreless tie through the first two innings, but the Kalisepll bats got rolling in the third as the Lakers scored all 10 of their runs in that inning.

Ryan McDonald claimed the win. He gave up two hits and struck out four.
