Authorities investigate death of Kalispell man

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man in a reported homicide at a residence on Lenwood Lane.

Sheriff Brian Heino said a suspect is in custody on unrelated, separate charges, pending the investigation. He was being questioned in the matter.

The victim was described as an older man, possibly in his 50s, from Kalispell.

Heino said the man had been assaulted and that there may be more than one person involved in the incident. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying any other people who may have information related to this investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office is also looking for a vehicle that may have been involved. It was described as a blue Ford single cab pickup truck, late 1980s or early 1990s model with Rhino-lined rocker panels that was seen leaving the scene prior to the call.
