The second July meeting for the Kalispell City Council has been canceled because there was a lack of agenda items for that particular date, according to City Manager Doug Russell.

The council usually meets on the first and third Mondays of every month at 7 p.m. At the July 1 meeting, council members discussed a proposed $78 million budget for fiscal year 2020 and moved toward approving the preliminary budget. They will make a decision on the preliminary budget in August.

The next council meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 201 First Ave. E.
