Police officer serves chicken ordinance

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department with “questions on the rules on having chickens and a rooster.” The caller’s chicken-owning neighbors had recently purchased a rooster to add to their brood, so a police officer left a copy of the city’s chicken ordinance on the caller’s front door.

Someone brought her son to the Kalispell Police Department because he had never seen a police officer before. It turned out that she also came to pay a ticket.

Someone suspected that a liquor store patron had stolen something, possibly because he was wearing a backpack.

Someone called the police for advice on how to deal with his upstairs neighbor who allegedly abuses drugs. He decided he would call the police the next time he is aware of his neighbor’s illicit activity and try to get the landlord to evict him.
