West A District: Mission Valley rallies by Glacier
A nine-run seventh inning rallied the Mission Valley Mariners past the Glacier Twins for a wild 10-7 victory on Friday evening in winners bracket play at the West A District American Legion baseball tournament at Lee Gehring Field.
Glacier held a 7-1 lead after six innings.
James Bennett, 3 for 3, Izyk Gillingham, 2 for 4, and Trevor Lake, 2 for 4, were Mission Valley’s leading hitters.
Bennett and Gillingham both had doubles.
Austyn Andrachick, 2 for 4, doubled and tripled for Glacier. Stevyn Andrachick also doubled.
Chad Queen, 2 for 3, was the other top hitter for Glacier.
Glacier (28-17) falls into loser-out play today at 10 a.m. versus the Cranbrook Bandits.
Mission Valley (23-19) advances in the championship round at 4 p.m. to play the top- seeded Bitterroot Red Sox (36-9).

LIBBY — Dillon Pilkerton held the Libby Loggers to four singles, struck out seven and walked two over the course of seven innings to push the Bitterroot Red Sox to the victory.
Both teams were 1-0 in tournament play.
Libby (17-7) led 2-0 after two innings, but the Red Sox scored three times in the third and fourth innings and added four in the sixth.
Tyler Davis and Tristan Lewis were both 2 for 4 for Bitterroot and doubled once. Mitchell Spinetta, 1 for 3, drove in two runs.
Libby drops into loser-out action today at 1 p.m. versus the Missoula Mavericks.

LIBBY — A two-run sixth inning put the Missoula Mavericks on top for good.
Kalispell tallied a run in the bottom half of the inning, but could get no closer.
Gage Brink and Thomas O’Connell were both 2 for 4 hitting for Kalispell, which totaled eight hits. O’Connell had the team’s only extra base hit, a double.
Charles Hinchey, 1 for 3, drove in both runs for the Lakers.
Charles Kirgan homered and drove in all three runs for the Mavericks.
Benjamin Hoffman went the distance on the mound for Kalispell (27-14). He allowed five hits, struck out nine and walked none.

LIBBY — Two-run innings in the first, second and fourth were more than enough to lift the Cranbrook Bandits over the Bitteroot Bucs.
Carter Marlow, 1 for 3, drove in three runs for Cranbrook (20-16).
Bitterroot did all of its scoring in the top of the seventh inning.
Cameron Reid, 2 for 3, and Quinn Grist, 2 for 2, accounted for Cranbrooks other hits.
Carson Meggison held Bitterroot to two singles and a triple by Alex Gavlak over seven innings. Meggison struck out seven and walked two batters.
