Property manager needs bird to fly the coop

A property manager for a store told Kalispell Police Department they had a bird inside the building and wanted advice on how to get it out. They were given advice, but were told that animal control “doesn’t deal with birds.”

Someone demonstrating on the corner of West Idaho Street alleged he was being threatened when a man “kept acting like he was going to pull a gun from his waistband.”

An elderly woman, who didn’t have an emergency, reportedly called 911 to test her cellphone to “make sure it will call 911” and that “she could get help if she needed it.” She also told dispatchers that the “cable doesn’t get installed until tomorrow.”

A man alleged his roommate “was drunk and being rude.” The man said he was feeling a lot of anxiety and didn’t think the roommate would get violent, he “just doesn’t like it when he yells at him.”

Someone called officers to report a woman screaming unintelligibly in an apartment and believed she was on drugs and a methamphetamine user.

Someone claimed that people inside two vehicles were possibly doing a drug deal, alleging they saw someone put a tourniquet on their arm in the backseat of one the vehicles. As far as the other vehicle, the caller said they didn’t know if they were involved, “it just looked weird as they went by.”

Someone told police their sister allegedly tried to attack them and had been drinking. The person then said she calmed down and didn’t want officers to respond.

Someone’s son allegedly walked in the door of their west side house with a bloody face and told police he “brushed a man’s car” and the man beat him up.

A man stole a 12-pack of beer and left in an SUV heading onto Cemetery Road.

Someone was suspicious of a man “hunkered down” in a truck in a trailer park. The person reportedly said there was a second truck and one of the men entered a mobile home. Police spoke to the men, who reportedly said they had permission from the trailer park owner to do work.

A concerned parent said their 7-year-old daughter went out into the yard to pet a cat when two men in a Jeep allegedly asked “if they could help her” and she said “no” and they asked again “if she was sure.” The men reportedly “flipped a U-turn” when the parent’s 14-year-old son went to the door.
