Alleged thieves arrive with kiddie trailer

Someone told Kalispell Police Department they saw a man and woman “roll up” on a bicycle and “kiddie trailer,” then the woman got out of the kiddie trailer, ran through bushes, returned with chairs and rolling luggage, which she put in the trailer, and took off. The man reportedly left on foot in the area of South Main Street. The person calling in the report believed they stole the items.

A gas station employee told police they were able to get three bottles of alcohol from an alleged shoplifter, who left the store, but they could still see “liquor shoved in his pants.”

A man and woman apparently had an intense desire to clean when they reportedly stole a vacuum and detergent before leaving in a truck that contained “a large bed in a box.”

A woman alleged her ex got into her home and “destroyed it.” She told police he was on the lease and reportedly didn’t have keys to the house, so she thought he might have been let in by management.

A man was concerned that two women were doing drugs and going to take drugs from a room on U.S. 93.

A yellow Honda Elite scooter was reported stolen.

An employee asked police to check on a small child seen in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle after they reportedly paged for the owners without success. Parties were counseled.

A man was suspicious after noticing several vehicles driving around a barricade, located at the end of West Colorado, at night. He said his wife purportedly found nails scattered near the barricade and wasn’t certain if the incidents were related.

A property manager calling from Fifth Street requested extra patrol from Columbia Falls Police Department after a tenant told them they allegedly saw a woman climb a fence and attempt to gain access from the back of a residence and she claimed she was a cleaning lady when confronted.

A bus driver requested police check on the welfare of a man they reportedly refused to allow on the bus because he was “very intoxicated.”

Cedar Pointe Loop residents were alerted to the presence of a man outside their home by their barking dog. The man, and possibly another person, reportedly “just froze” when they turned on a porch light and shouted “get out of here, or I will let the dog loose,” and then took off into the woods. The residents requested extra patrol.

A disturbance with a weapon was reported on Dawn Drive when a man called police, claiming he was chased down by people who believed he stole money.

Someone’s ex allegedly went into a house on U.S. 2 and punched a hole in drywall.

A man calling from Lakeshore Drive told Whitefish Police Department he was in an altercation with other boaters on the lake and now he allegedly found a $2,000 “surf riderfoil” missing from his boat.

A passerby requested a welfare check on a man seen face-down in grass on U.S. 93.

Someone reported glass bottles being thrown out the window of a blue truck on U.S. 93.

Someone calling from Columbia Avenue told police three intoxicated males were allegedly grabbing children’s scooters, riding them around and dropping them in people’s yards.

A tall man was allegedly standing on a woman’s porch for three minutes and trying to get in her house.
