The Northern Rodeo Association Finals will conduct its year-end championships for 2019 at Majestic Valley Arena on Oct. 24-26.

The Butte Civic Center has been the site for the last eight championships. Prior to that, Billings was the host city for many years.

“This was an opportunity to offer our competitors a chance to compete in a premier venue,” NRA executive secretary Theresa Sorlie said in a story by Joe Kusek of the Billings Gazette. “We are thrilled to bring our event to Kalispell.”

The top 10 event leaders after the regular season qualify for the Finals.

“The bucking chutes face the bleachers,” Sorlie said of Majestic Valley Arena. “With that set up, it will make the rodeo action up close and personal.”

Sorlie said rodeo livestock along horses used by the competitors will be stalled on the arena grounds, which was an added benefit.

“We looked at some new buildings in the state of Montana, but they didn’t have any seating,” she said. “We’re excited to get the premier facility in the state of Montana.”

Majestic Valley Arena, which has held PRCA and PBR events in the past, can seat more than 2,500 fans for those events.

Rodeos in Conrad, Poplar and Culbertson on June 7 kick off the NRA season for 2019.
