Cat burglar gets away with loot

A caller reported that his home was burglarized earlier in the day, according to Kalispell Police Department logs. Several items were missing, along with his cat.

A baggy containing a crystalline substance was found by a security officer at the mall. It was turned into police as evidence.

Harassing phone calls prompted a man to contact police. The messages involved someone making very explicit accusations about what the caller was going to do to the man. It sounded like a scam.

A caller had video evidence of a dog barking. The very vocal pup was an ongoing problem.

A jacked-up 4x4 Dodge pickup was reported stolen on Two Mile Drive. The reporting party saw the suspect run across his yard, then heard his truck fire up. The suspect later ditched the pickup in the Triple Creek Estates area and took off on foot, hopping a fence before disappearing. The suspect was described as a man wearing dark clothing with a hoodie.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian staggering into traffic. It was just a guy dancing to his music next to the road.

A reckless driver in a gray vehicle sped through a yard, busted through a vinyl privacy fence, then drove over a chain-link fence. The mayhem happened near Fox Hill Drive.

A caller wanted to know if it was OK for someone to have their “massive dog” inside a restaurant play area. The dog owner claimed it was a service dog.

Two men were caught spying on people with binoculars.

A woman who was sleeping on her deck went inside to find an unknown slender man walking down her hallway. The man said he had the wrong house and left out the back door.

A caller said her drunk aunt was cussing out her grandma.

A woman told police that she pawned some tools for a friend. She now believes the tools were stolen due to her friend’s odd behavior recently.

A gaggle of people were seen getting high in the parking lot of a local bar. The reporting party said her life was threatened by the group of 20, so she took cover in her vehicle.
