Trump stands up to the swamp

I miss Frank Miele (and his 2 Cents worth).

Frank had so many good insights into the current political and non-political events swarming around us. One of his greatest gifts was to remind us of the “justification of contradictions” found in the Novel “1984.” “War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength” was their motto. What a forward-looking author.

I could not comprehend how the Democrats could be seen on video taking a position on “X” and a year later taking the exact opposite position. It is as if they think no one will remember their previous position and that no videos of their prior pronouncements was available for the world to see. Then with Frank’s great memory reminding us that the “1984” the lies and hypocrisies of today are the same as “Big Brother and company” in the novel. The Democrats of today are what the former socialist and communists of a century ago were.

Those of us who love the United States of America and believe in the constitution (of the USA) have been pushed into a corner by the compromises made by Republicans and Conservatives of the past several decades. There is now nothing else we can compromise on since all we have left are the core principles we hold dear and the words of our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the balance of the Constitution.

“And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.” (GOD, D&C101:80)

We have seen the “Swamp - in Washington D.C. and our government” and wanted a change, or a “change-maker.” We knew that Donald Trump was not a smooth slick movie star type of guy but we wanted the change more than we wanted “doing things the way they have always been done” by the insiders club both elected, appointed and manipulated by lobbyists. We were willing, no happy, to get change in style and in results.

Most of the big named TV network news speak to us from “talking points” and use the same words on three to five networks and on several programs on each network. No one ever used the term “gravitas” until every network used it multiple times a day in finding fault with George W. Bush.

Today we hear the same group of words used by numerous TV reporters and commentators. It is clearly “talking points” given to them to pronounce to the public and then they still think we will consider them as independent researchers and reporters of news. Sadly too many of our country men have fallen for this tripe.

Democrats have been trying to “overturn the 2016 election of Donald Trump.” After two and a half years and $20 to $30 million tax dollars they are forced to give up on the special prosecutor finding Russian collusion but they still keep trying to find a way to “overturn the election.”

I am less concerned about a billionaire who when elected donates his government salary to some departments of the government and more concerned with elected officials who become millionaires after they are elected. I am more concerned about the lies of Clapper and Brennan and the higher-ups in the FBI breaking the laws of the land and getting to skate free with no jail time, fines or being held to public responsibility.

I’m voting again for Donald Trump because he stands up to the swamp and is making a change (or at least is trying hard against a congressional brick wall - no pun intended) in the “presidential way” of doing things. I’d vote for a plumber who can fix a problem than slick suit that wants to tell me there are no leaky pipes.

I don’t care much for George Bernard Shaw, but one thing he said was worth remembering. “Never argue with an idiot, the people watching may not be able to tell which is the idiot.” So if you disagree, don’t bother to write to the Inter Lake about it. I won’t argue with you and you should not argue with me.
