Teen charged with DUI in fatal Glacier Park crash
A 40-year-old man died and another passenger suffered injuries in a single-vehicle rollover in Glacier National Park that occurred either late Tuesday or early Wednesday, according to a news release from the park.
Glacier National Park authorities identified the victim as Paul Cadotte of Starr School, Montana.
The driver, 19-year-old Leo J. Hagan, of East Glacier Park, was arrested on DUI charges, according to the park. Additional charges are pending with the Assistant U.S. Attorney. The investigation is ongoing.
The rollover crash on Two Medicine Road was reported to Glacier County in a 911 call placed around midnight.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Another passenger required hospitalization.
Not all individuals were wearing seatbelts, authorities said.
All parties were Montana residents from adjacent local communities.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
Cooperating agencies responded to the crash, including Montana Highway Patrol, Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, Glacier County, East Glacier Volunteer Fire Department and Browning Ambulance.
