Loggers 3-0 at Big Bucks Tourney
LIBBY — Shayne Walker doubled and drove in two runs and Libby scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out a 4-3 American Legion baseball victory over the Tri-County Cardinals on the third day of the Big Bucks Tournament.
The Loggers are 3-0 in tournament action heading into today’s final session.
Trey Thompson, 2 for 2, also drove in a run for Libby.
Libby could muster just six hits to three for Tri-County.
Walker shared mound duties with Moxley Roesler-Begalke. Both fanned four batters, Walker in 2 2/3 innings and Roesler-Begalke in the final 4 1/3. Walker issued five walks and no hits and Roesler-Begalke two walks and three hits.
Today’s play starts at 9 a.m. with the championship game at 2 p.m.
