While moms bicker, kids take the fight outside

While two mothers argued with each other in a store on Nucleus Avenue, their kids brought the fight into the parking lot where they reportedly got physical while several other kids stood around.

Someone on Ninth Street told Columbia Falls Police Department a big old blue school bus with padlocks on the doors was reportedly blocking a delivery truck receiving area and someone may be living in it. Police noted that it was an issue in Whitefish and to make their law enforcement aware.

A man possibly gave dog owners everywhere a bad reputation when a Martha Road resident told police she didn’t mind that he walked his dog in the area; she only asked that he simply pick up the dog’s feces.

Someone calling from Sixth Street reported smelling marijuana coming from the women’s restroom in City Hall.

Kalispell Police Department received a call from a Stag Lane resident who said he could hear a large herd of cattle and thought they sounded like they were in distress. He wanted officers to check it out because he supposedly had never heard cattle in the area before. The cows, which were on FFA Drive, appeared OK.

A teen calling from Fourth Avenue East told police her mother was bleeding from the face and needed an ambulance after she allegedly beat her up when the mom slapped her.

An intoxicated transient was screaming and causing a scene in the storage unit for which a woman had given him a key to store his things. Police were cautioned the man could be “very violent and hostile” toward law enforcement.

A man alleged a woman punched him in the face, but he didn’t want to pursue charges because “she is a good woman.” He was advised to keep his distance from her.

Whitefish Police Department received a call from a woman on Central Avenue who wanted to let officers know that she reportedly almost hit a pedestrian.

A Woodland Place resident reported her landlord allegedly knocked twice before letting himself in without notice. She declined an offer for police to contact the landlord and just wanted it documented.

Someone on Fourth Street told police she gave personal information to a person who reportedly said her Social Security number was used and there was more than $500,000 of charged items in Texas.

A passerby on Spokane Avenue saw a man throw a beer out and open another before driving off in a black truck.

A disgruntled bus patron flagged down police on U.S. 93.

A Fairview Cemetery Road resident in Columbia Falls was suspicious of a pair of “strange people” who came to her door at 1:30 a.m. claiming they got a truck stuck and needed assistance, but a running truck was parked in her driveway. To add more suspicion, they also purportedly asked if she was alone in the house.

Someone told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office a needle was allegedly found at the bottom of a foam pit in Kalispell after it had been emptied to look for a man’s keys and asked deputies if the incident had been reported. No record of the incident being recorded was found.

An employee who wanted to close up for the night on Montana 35 in Kalispell wanted assistance with a homeless man who was nodding in an out at the bar and allegedly had done “hash” and drank beer throughout the night.
