Man won't comply with kitty questioning

Concerned about being bitten by her cat, a woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, asking what she should do. When the woman said she was unsure whether the cat was vaccinated for rabies, dispatch asked the name of her veterinarian to confirm the cat’s vaccine history. Before the woman could answer, a man took the phone from her and told dispatch he would not give them the vet’s name, even after dispatch informed him why they needed it and told him they would be reporting him to the Health Department for refusing to comply.

A woman complained she was scammed by a caller claiming to be a television network. She said she gave out personal information including her debit card pin number and Social Security information. She stated that when she realized it was a scam, she decided only to give the last four of her husband’s Social Security number but didn’t give any personal information or banking information. A second caller informed dispatch he also received the scam call and said he too gave the last four digits of his Social Security number.

A German shepherd reportedly escaped numerous times from his backyard, hopping the fence to hang out in the neighbor’s yard. The dog made two more visits to the neighbor and then decided to roam the streets. Animal control picked up the dog and impounded him in the shelter to await his owners.

A young male believed to be highly intoxicated was reported for harassing customers in the parking lot of a grocery store and repeatedly trying to break into unlocked vehicles in the parking lot. The male was said to be falling-down drunk before he took off running toward a nearby fire hall, where he was apprehended and arrested.

A woman reportedly found a note on her fence from a neighbor threatening to kill her dogs if they got out again. She discovered the message while putting her dogs back in their yard after they had gotten out.

Someone reported confronting a man on an all-terrain vehicle with a bandana on his face for riding around a private property early in the morning. The caller said the man was trying to hide his features from him and that he ended up leaving without further conflict.

A man called the sheriff’s department with questions about wanting to buy a house he believed had a meth lab in it.

While vacationing in Hawaii, a homeowner received a threat from a neighbor in Kalispell regarding their livestock. The vacationers later heard from their property’s caretaker that someone had taken their animal feed and thrown it all over their yard and had strewn garden and farming tools everywhere.

A dog allegedly killed someone’s chicken and fled the scene, heading down Willow Glen Drive in Kalispell. Someone holding a Pepsi cup was seen lying next to the road on Montana 35 in Kalispell. Two people helped escort the person into the parking lot.

A transient reportedly started a campfire in an “open shed” on someone’s Conrad Drive property in Kalispell. It was extinguished.
