Local battle-ax rains on town's parade
A woman asked Kalispell Police Department wanting to know who to complain to about vehicles reportedly blocking residential driveways and blaring music during parades. The woman crabbed to an officer she allegedly faulted for why cars park in her driveway during parades. The officer suggested she call police if she was blocked in and the cars would be cited and towed if they violated parking codes. She proceeded to purportedly advise the officer that she would call her attorney, the police chief, the mayor and the city manager.
A woman spotted around the fabrics, crafts and toys aisles needed to be reminded by police that she was not welcome in the store because of a past shoplifting incident. The confrontational woman said she had never been caught stealing and purportedly thought law enforcement was out to get her.
A teen went to get some of his belongings at a parent’s house to move out when he reportedly started fighting with the parent’s boyfriend. The teen was released to his father.
A woman claimed her ex stole $20 from her daughter’s birthday card. Police were cautioned that he had a history of assault and drug use.
Someone was disconcerted by texts they allegedly received of their roommate beating a female and was afraid to call law enforcement because they didn’t want the man to beat them. Police contacted the man who reportedly said he was arguing with the woman and punched her in the face. She claimed that it did not hurt, cause injury or make her fear of her safety. She also reportedly said he also choked her, but that she wanted him to. They were advised if they needed assistance to call 911 and not a friend.
An intoxicated woman with an open container wouldn’t leave a store.
An 11-year-old who lived with her grandmother told police that her aunt broke in and stole some money and wanted it logged for information.
A woman’s son was “incoherently wasted” and wasn’t supposed to be at her house.

Dog owners told police they were trying to figure out what to do about their dog, which was able to jump the fence due to the deep snow and defecating in a neighbor’s yard.

A woman on Diane Road told Columbia Falls Police Department her boyfriend had her vehicle for several days without permission and wouldn’t give it back. Officers advised him he needed to return the vehicle and for the vehicle’s registered owner to make a report of unauthorized use.
Police responded to a verbal disturbance on Diane Road where a man in a vehicle reportedly chased people to a house. He then was said to be throwing things around and trashing an apartment.
A man was suspiciously checking vehicles according to someone on Ninth Street.
