The Bigfork Area Chamber’s spring luncheon is noon, Tuesday, May 14, at the Bigfork Inn. The event will feature a presentation from Montana West Economic Development and a discussion of current Chamber projects. The cost is $20 per person.

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce meets 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 14 in the North Valley Hospital community room for its general membership luncheon. Small business recognition given

During the U.S. Small Business Administration Awards in Great Falls, Butte regional director Julie Jaksha was named the 2019 Montana “State Star.” The State Star recognizes outstanding performers from Small Business Development Centers.

Over the last decade, Jaksha has consulted with more than 420 clients, assisted with launching more than 45 businesses, and helped her clients secure almost $24 million in financing. Jaksha was also named the 2014 Montana State Star.
