Hot day for Whitefish, C-Falls tennis

Whitefish vs. Hamilton, Corvallis
Whitefish posted a pair of impressive dual wins over two Southwestern A foes at Flathead Valley Community College.
The Bulldogs blanked Hamilton and topped Corvallis 5-2.
“It was a nice way to close out the regular season,” Whitefish coach Chris Schwaderer said.
“We always look forward to playing Corvallis because they have such a strong program and we like the matchups that we get.
“Brendan Buls (at No. 1 singles) had a tough time with Caleb Warnken today, but I suspect that they have not seen the last of each other. They have played each other twice this year and they have split. With their contrasting styles, they are a lot of fun to watch.
“The doubles side was equally entertaining as Colter Upton and Mark Anderson were in great form,” Schwaderer continued.
“They really complement each other with their big serves and soft hands at the net. They hit an occasional rough patch but, so far, they have been able to pull things together and get wins. Pierce Janssen and Jackson Carson have also really impressed me. In the last 24 hours they have pulled out two come-from-behind wins that were decided in a third set tiebreaker. For a relatively inexperienced team, they have shown a lot of guts. Still, we all know that the regular season means nothing. Everyone has a clean slate (for divisionals). There are no sure things. Everything must be earned.”
Divisional play is next and begins Thursday at FVCC.
